At Fireblocks, it’s always been our highest priority to provide the fastest and most diverse range of blockchain support. With a growing list of over 75 supported blockchains, we’re committed to empowering customers to securely custody tokens on the latest chains, and quickly build innovative services for their customers. Today, we’re excited to announce that Fireblocks has expanded our support for World Chain – a an L2 secured by Ethereum that will be integrated into the Worldcoin protocol.
Following the launch of Worldcoin a year ago, World Chain leverages the World ID Proof of Personhood protocol, prioritizing blockspace for verified humans. More than 10 million people in 160 countries have already created a World ID and a compatible wallet, performing 75 million transactions (accounting for over 50% of OP Mainnet’s activity). Fireblocks’ advanced security solutions provide assurances to World Chain’s institutional stakeholders that their use of WLD is not only more secure but also streamlined.
Fireblocks is an important and exciting new addition to the World Chain network. Their trusted digital asset infrastructure will allow World Chain to quickly and securely scale around the world on day one.
About World Chain
World Chain is a layer-2 network designed to make blockchain technology and its benefits accessible to everyone. Built on the OP Stack and integrated with the Worldcoin protocol, World Chain is secured by Ethereum as an L2 and will be engineered for scalability as part of the Superchain ecosystem.
Developed by the Worldcoin Foundation, World Chain will be uniquely enabled by World ID’s proof of personhood and built around stablecoin finance, international remittances, commerce and more. Anyone will be able to explore and use apps with real world utility on World Chain through compatible wallets, starting with World App.
